Dangers of a Weak Immune System
There are numerous reasons why a person's immune system becomes weakened and loses efficiency. To name a few: smoking, poor diet, aging, overweight, stress, infections, hereditary disorders and alcohol abuse. Resistance to disease is low and viral diseases such as colds and flu can easily get a foothold in the body.
One of the more serious threats to the body is from autoimmune diseases caused by a dysfunctional immune system resulting in such diseases as: arthritis, psoriasis, CFS and lupus. Life-threatening chronic viral diseases such as HIV are a direct result of a deficient immune system, which is in a state of suppression and is unable to protect the body against invaders.
