Systematic Lupus Erythematosus
There are several kinds of lupus; however, the most common form of the disease is SLE. This disease can affect any part of the body with symptoms that may be mild or very severe. The disease can affect people of any age, but is normally found in persons between the ages of 15 and 45. The disease is capable of affecting any part of the body, which may include the joints, skin, heart, lungs, arteries, kidneys, liver and the brain.
The more common symptoms include fatigue, pain, swollen joints, (arthritis), fevers, skin eruptions, bladder and kidney problems. Lupus is also called rheumatic disease."
